A warm welcome awaits you in Belfast, along with an innovative Summit programme and two days of stimulating debate.
Our ambitions for Harkin Belfast are high. Aiming for a world leading delivery, we hope to offer a clear focal point for leading transformational change before, during and post Summit to advance equality of opportunity for disabled people in the labour market.
Under an overarching theme of ‘Disability: Shaping, Growing and Driving Economic Change’, we have placed an emphasis on content quality and diversity by inviting leaders and activists at all levels globally, to develop and submit papers to deliver as part of this exciting event.
Creative minds have come forward with content in the form of keynote addresses, presentations & showcases, panel discussions, and workshops under a range of sub-themes (click here for details).
Belfast is a city resurgent. With a range of visitor hotspots, restaurants and cafes the City is full of energy. Northern Ireland’s cosmopolitan, yet compact capital, has been named the 2022 Unesco City of Music and was named one of the world’s top 20 sustainable cities by the Global Destination Sustainability Index in October last year. Travel Magazine Conde Nast Traveller readers also voted Belfast UK’s Friendliest City in 2021. These accolades follow a host of travel accreditations in recent years as Belfast was voted as the 'Rising Star of 2017' by National Geographic with Lonely Planet recently awarding the City 'Top Place to Visit' in 2018. The city is moving from strength to strength.
Famed for its historic past, maritime heritage, arts and culture, the city has an abundance on offer reflected in stunning 19th century architecture which sits comfortably alongside the stylish contemporary hotels, modern restaurants, theatres, and tours. The world famous Titanic Belfast attraction marks its 10th birthday this year, while the city offers excellent gateway travel links to the rest of Northern Ireland including the beautiful Giant’s Causeway and the brand new Game of Thrones Studio Tour in Co. Down.
The venue for Harkin Belfast is the award-winning International Convention Centre, Belfast (ICC Belfast).
Located on the banks of the River Lagan, it enjoys a prime location a short distance from Belfast City Centre.
The entrance to ICC Belfast is located beside the river Lagan, overlooking picturesque views of the river, this entrance is aptly named the Riverside Entrance.
